Positive Thoughts, Feedback and Stories

 

  • Betty: Someone called in and said 211 helped them get the food they needed and they were very grateful.
  • Karen Jennings: Really appreciated a conversation, working with college students.
  • Cindy: Has been having some really great time speaking with young and elderly folks. People have been really engaged and helpful.
    • Also had a negative experience where this lady was very overwhelmed by the calls, being a single widowed mom.
    • Katie Mentioned: If things are that overwhelming, we can CCO them for them to be followed up only with the state

 

Opened things up for Q & A session

 

  • What to do if we get missed added to a chatter?
    • Always start with emailing our VollenteerManagers@RockConnections.com
    • If you have an old schedule, you can always reach out to Lewis Thomas (313) 485 -1651 or your old supervisor and we can assist you.
  • What to do when you have a child and parent with the same name and we are trying to make sure we have the correct person?
    • Move forward with the script
  • A Student/ Contact who is here temporarily but is a Canadian citizen: May not be able to receive resources. 211 was closed
    • The state is going to look into working with our University liaison to see was resources we provide for our students.
  • Can contacts break quarantine if they got a negative test?
    • So if they are choosing to refused TF that is okay, but they need to seek advice from a licensed care professional
  • 211 on the weekends: Talk to someone who is available.
    • @Hill, Ashley (DHHS) is going to dig deeper into the 211 workaround guide on how we can utilize these resources properly and clearly on who goes where.
  • 17 y/o college students away from home, Can they answer for themselves?
    • The state said this was okay if they confirmed that they are not living with parents due to being away from school.
    • Living away from their home county

 

Peter took some notes about these needs and will be updating the FAQ according to those college student questions

 

  • What to do when Supervisors are taking a long time to respond
    • Rock Sups are now partnering up to help give vols more coverage
    • You can text or call them directly
  • HH Members living with positive cases that can't isolate or segregate from each other
    • We can escalate that to your SUPERVISOR and they will share this with the State and LHD and adjust end monitoring dates
