Monday 7PM Debrief 9-7-2020
Happy Labor Day!
Positive takeaways:
-Volunteers told us that they have spoken to a lot of really grateful contacts lately and people seem to be a lot more receptive to our tracing. It feels good to know we are actually reaching people and making a difference
False positive:
-Be cautious, but still trace them if they allow it
-Offer to switch into text service
Contact is told they can go back to work after receiving a negative:
- Primary care doctor or the local health department can make that decision and they should follow what they say
-If they do not want to be traced mark refused, but if they let us we still want to follow up with them just in case
- If you really feel they should be quarantining you can escalate to supervisor
Phone button disappearing:
-May need to minimize screen, check window zoom percentage
-Can always provide shift supervisor a screen shot to take a look
If contact states they tested positive:
-You can complete the survey with them if they have a moment, then case close for local health department to follow up.
Start date discrepancy:
-In general follow time we have listed, but if they think it is significantly different then escalate to shift supervisor and we can double check
-May also be a second exposure that they are not aware of
Prior positive:
-See if you can get the type of test they took, when they got the test, when they stopped having symptoms, and if they will allow you to continue to follow up.
Suggestion:
Possibly change the wording for "is English your primary language" received some feedback where they were almost insulted by this
- If it is a different language, you can offer "would you prefer continuing in English or (insert primary language)"
Reaching someone for the first time within last couple days:
-We want to try to get through as much of the survey as they allow and follow up with them if they still any amount of days left
-Feel free to try to joke about only needing to hear from us a couple more times, offer text
Voice mail script not popping up:
-Get a screen shot and let your shift supervisor know so we can look into this
