Debrief notes 10/2/2020
Positives
- Thank you all for jumping in and volunteering for an hour or even 30minutes it helps a lot and we know a lot of you volunteers have outside jobs and lives so we appreciate all your spare time you give!
- Contacts sending thanks to everyone on the team that we have been a help checking in on them and just being caring towards their family in some rough times.

New Volunteers

UofM Health students; could we send information we can use to broadcast to them? Possibly can prepare some information for some marketing techniques.
CIW
Critical Infrastructure workers: Had a contact that as a nurse she works in a hospital she works directly in an office she masks up and dose not have contact with patience's or any other employees? Is she still considered a CIW?
Please escalate these situations to your supervisor so they can send this contact over to the LHD so they can reach out to the contact and get a little more detail on her work environment during her work hours. The LHD will determine if she is a CIW.
Testing for COVID19
Is there any effort to provide more information to LHD to what the guidance should be for a contact to be tested for covid19? Yes, that is a constant effort. Will be getting more specific information on this topic.
Incoming calls
Is there a way to set your phone to offline while on a call so when you are finished, we don't get another incoming call? Set your phone offline before you dial out that will stop the incoming calls
30 second timer while still counting down will still allow calls to come in. looking into this, if this continues to happen let the supervisor know so we can create a ticket.
Quarantine dates review
If we have contacts questioning their monitoring dates that is something we need to review. Let your supervisor know and they can get it to that contact LHD.
Contacts not contacted yet
Why are we getting contact that are 5-7 days into their monitoring date and we have not contacted them yet and we are just calling, is there a reason why? Sometimes there's just a lag getting them into the system. There could be cases where there is a case interviewer that hasn't gotten to that positive case yet and its back logged.
Schools
A lot of schools giving parents different guidance on who should quarantine in the HH. If there is 3 children one came in contact then all of them are contact, we are also hearing if one child is the contact then that doesn't mean the other 2 children are contact because they did not come in direct contact with the positive case.
Using a work exemption letter for a minor will work. It will give their names and contact start and end dates. Just make sure we get the parent/guardian's email address and add it to the information tile.
Scripting
Can we ask if they tested positive sooner in the script? Taking it into consideration. Anything to make the process move smoothly.
