Highlights

  • A volunteer convinced a contact not to take a sketchy vaccine! So that was cool.
  • Peter said "As far as we can analyze it, it looks like we are doing well contacting new people within 24 hours of entering the queue!!" Go new LOGIC!!
  • Seems like people are really responding to the new voicemail message - incoming calls are constantly coming in

Questions

The push for testing? It's always recommended. We have lots of resources at the Michigan.gov/coronavirustest

Is there any effort going into analyzing data on the settings and demographics on who is showing positive after exposure?

As of right now, no, not yet, there isn't anyone analyzing that data yet.

Future Start Dates

  • LHD's are proactively adding new folks into the system who are living with their positive cases where they can't isolate to get them into the system, even though we know their end date is supposed to be 10 days after their case stops showing symptoms

When a contact is pos to they get removed from our queue?

  • Yes! That goes back to the LHD and they are followed up with by them.
  • Sometimes they know before LHD does therefore if we are checking in, we'd find out when they tell us before it gets to TF.

Does a school count as an institutional setting?

  • No

Is it more valuable to be off line and calling people as their name pops up or to stay on line and take incoming calls?  I feel like incoming calls are really important since we have asked people to call us back but it might mean I'm waiting a few minutes if I'm only taking incoming calls.

  • The incoming calls are so important to take, those are a high priority
  • When about to end call and you need time to take notes go "offline" but you can be "available" and make calls.
  • Otherwise it will get requeued to someone else

If we're calling most cases within 24 hrs of when they are entered into Traceforce, is the case's TF start date actually after the start of the expected quarantine period?

  • In a perfect world within 24 hrs of exposure, but it's dependant on a number of circumstances of when LHD enters it into our TF
  • If there is a descrepency, message your SUP and they can send It over to MDHHS and LHD

Guidence for parents who have multple other children besides the contact

  • We do offer more recommendations on our wedbsite and in the emails
  • We have options through each LHD

Are phone calls better than texts for multple member households

  • It really depends on the parent's

What do we do when a school is giving conflicting info on quarantining?

  • Send that to your Supervisor to send to MDHHS

Is it ok to tell folks they can call 211 themselves so that we can move on since we have such high demand for our time?

  • You definitely can and should recommend 211 and let them know that they can always call at their own convenience.

Should we always be taking note of school info if it isn't listed in the script for a minor?

  • Yes absolutely, send contact ID's to your sup to send to MDHHS to see if this is a tech issue.
  • All minors should have school info listed if applicable, so if it's not in the script, edit in the info tile.

Eye care clinics: should they not be considered essential?

  • If there is a concern on essential workers, send that to SUPS to send to MDHHS and they will send those to LHD to make a determination.

Is there a letter different for CIW's?

  • It is the same, letter regarding quarantined dates but there is a cuff stating that this may not applied to you if you are identified as CIW.
  • It mentions the LHD should be a part of the determination.

Who can we talk to about the Handbook?

  • You can email Lewis directly anytime with your questions.

Feedback and/or Suggestions

  • Adding in somewhere in the beginning "Were you aware of your exposure" really helps set the stage for the conversation.
  • Adding in "So tell me about your household and the people who live there" so we make sure we can help make sure we are giving good recommendations and information and making sure we have everyone listed that we need.
  • There could be more recommendations for parents with multiple children, children in shared custody, recommendations for handling little ones.
  • Volunteers would like to see a sample of what the emails look like so they know what to expect
    • It's in the knowledge base
  • There is a small glitch in the scripts with the question about "do they want a letter".  If the email address is entered first, and then the "yes" answer to the questions about "do they want a letter" is selected, the email address get's erased.  For example, the contact originally says they don't want a letter and then they change their mind later in the discussion.
  • Can we add functionality to text the work/school letter as an option? Since some don't have easy access to their email accounts.
