Lots of contacts are surprised to find out the covid pandemic is actually real
- we are having a lot more outbursts in different counties that did not have very many cases until recently

What are some resources for contacts that are not tech savvy?
- what if they don't have a computer or cell phone to sign up for unemployment
- 211
- unemployment office directly (voicemail system tend to be the quickest)
Escalate to supervisor box:

Counties we do not cover:
- Monroe, Washtenaw, Muskegon, Berrien, Oakland
Email address:
- input it directly into the info pane on the right, and you check the work exemption email box as well
- end of call you can verify if they have received it yet
Schools:
- a lot of contacts are getting calls from the LHD before we call them and providing them with all the info we go over in the initial call
- gaining information on the schools-a lot of the parents are very skeptical of giving this information
- data in TF allows LHD to create lists of what children should not be attending school.
- the LHD then provides the list to the school so that they are aware and know who should not be in attendance and send them back home if they show up

Michigan 211:
- look for resources that are nearby and provide referral based on the needs that they have

Work exemption letters:
- parent needs to stay home with their child
- workplaces typically accept the letter with the child's name
- you can let your supervisor know, we will escalate to LHD
Feedback:
- because of the texts that are sent out contacts seem to be more receptive and understand what they need to do a lot more often
Recommendations:
- can the field where we enter the email address in the script be moved to right under the question that asks if they need the work exemption letter
- when contacts are originally entered, can the phone type default to mobile so the system will try to send the text before the call every time
