Connie's first debrief- welcome- how was her day??

Had a question about the empty queue, why Is it empty?

Case investigators are in a bottleneck situation with trying to get the contacts in because they are overwhelmed & the HHs are being taken care of by the case investigators, so they are not being added to our queue. We are not sure we will have a big spike in the queue, it seems they are steadily increasing a few hundred at a time. Also, we have done a significant amount of hiring which is emptying the queue quicker.

With all the hiring is there still a need for volunteers

We are not turning down help, it is still an all hands-on deck. We always said we will keep both full-time staff and Volunteers programs running because Covid is uncertain and we are still unsure of where it will go.

Denise asked can we go over the timeline for someone who lives with a positive case, both one is isolating and one isn't able to.

It is easier to show the diagram below

The first day of a positive case is either the first day of symptoms or the date of positive test.

Karen asked about several families she had that had some confusing dates, due to the mother having covid and the mom was coming out of isolation, but the dates showed Dec. 24th. They were in a situation where they had to go back to work with new dates How hard is it to have the date altered?? Are we able to get the dates modified quickly??

The LHD have the ability to change the dates but the turnaround time for escalation letters seems pretty quick at the moment, people seem to be caught up there

Trace force is down currently due to updates

  • Will there be a change in the script to reflect the 10 day??
    • Yes the update today will reflect it, so expect the change tomorrow
  • If someone states they had symptoms earlier in the week, does that mean we mark it as a current. Example- "I had loss of taste last week but I am fine now"
    • New means since the day they were exposed, not just the day we are calling.
      • Check YES- if the symptom was since the most recent exposure
  • is it a valid suspicion that the positive cases are not being followed up with the LHD.
    • Yes, the LHD is back logged and we are sure there are cases that we are not reaching out in a timely manner.
  • Message "opt out of amazon is checked"
    • Added to the last update- it was happening the whole time but it was giving error messages. But what that is, there are federal rules on when we can and cannot text, and if at any point they want to opt out of texting. Amazon cannot text them at all. It basically says this number is not eligible for texting. We have to add a new number if they want to opt back in.
