Volunteer Debrief 4/2/2021-Good Friday
- The local county health department will be doing the contact tracing for variant strains of Covid-19
- There are some local counties that will ask us to help them
- There is not a new script for variant strains but there is a red message at the top of the script to alert the caller that the contact was exposed to a variant strain
- Talking points for contacting someone two times per day will be posted in our chatters
- We will not manually flag someone as a variant. The only variants that we call for two successful per day are the ones that are entered by the Local Health Department
- If someone said they were exposed to a variant
- Notify team leader in Chatter or the hotline so the end date can change to reflect a longer quarantine for variant
- End date will change to reflect a variant case, but it will not act as a variant case that we call two times for two successful assessments
- Multiple people in a house sent to different volunteers at the same time because all the timestamps are in a minute of each other
- If a tracer does not use a proper note, apply to the entire household, and follow the handbook with placeholders we will have multiple calls to a household
- The new process with placeholder notes, name, and time will prevent multiple calls
- Read and review notes slowly. Reach out the Supervisor Hotline for help with notes Phone Number: 313-486-5491
- Regarding vaccine shots…What is the accurate information for exposed/positive people that we should be giving to someone who has one vaccine shot or has previously tested positive?
- Every case is different, everyone's medical condition is different, and people need to follow up with their doctor on what is best for them.
- When someone is in quarantine for an exposure, they should not be getting a vaccination
- Tracers need to reiterate to contacts that they should not leave quarantine for their vaccination shot
- School is not getting filled out, getting entered assessments.
- Tracers need to do a better job of gaining school information
- FAQ and the Handbook are interchangeable as our contact tracing guide
