Positive Highlights:

Questions and Answers

Many more calls are going thru and leaving fewer voicemails, are we able to see that in the overall tracking?

  • We are having more people answering lately. We have more initial contacts, with the double calling tends to lead to more pick-ups.

When people say, "Health Department already called me", is the best way to keep on to say, "We are helping the Health Department and we have additional information and resources to help you and your family.

  • Let them know we are the contact tracers and our job are to track your symptoms or lack of symptoms.

If an age determines the minor script, maybe having a minor/adult button would be easier for the Local Department Health to commit to.

  • We are working on an idea that could help fix this issue. We know it's hard and starts us off on a bad foot when we don't know that a contact is a minor.

People that are tested immediately and are negative. Should they get tested again?

  • Lack of CDC guidance and when and how often to get tested.
  • I would recommend on having them get retested few days before there end date.

What is the start based on?

  • Documented exposure date.
  • Start date defaults to investigated source date is completed.

Why are we asking information about schools?

  • There are a lot of kids that have been exposed in other ways so they can help track school outbreaks.
  • We do this behalf on the Local Health Department

What if a client is questioning their quarantine date?

  • Reach out to shift supervisor where they can send out an email to correct the start date.

How does unemployed insurance work for small businesses?

  • We have a state department economics website that can help them with that.
  • We're also trying to get a two pager that is a resource packet.
  • We will talk to the Labor Department for more guidance.

How do we elevate the cases of people who wish to contest that they are a close contact?

  • You can let your supervisor know who will reach out to the Local Health Department

What if contacts don't want to be tested?

  • We know there will always be contacts that don't want to get tested or don't see why they need to. But there are also contacts who want guidance from us, so we want to have something to say when they do.
